Quick Start Guide

Each electronic kit from our store is inspected for appearance and basic functionality before shipping. Please power it on and test it as soon as you receive it and confirm that it works properly before mounting it on the frame. Our store accepts no responsibility for damage caused by installing the kit without testing it first, or by improper installation or unsuitable operating conditions after installation. Damage resulting from failure to test the kit is not covered by after-sales service.

ℹ️ Factory firmware notice: Electronic kits are shipped without preinstalled firmware. After assembly, you must flash the firmware yourself before the robot can operate. Fully assembled robots come with firmware preinstalled and are ready to use out of the box.

Connect the device: Connect the mainboard to your computer using a USB data cable, connect the battery, and turn on the power switch.
Select the series: On the platform home page, click the RIG Series card, select your model, and flash the firmware.

Power On/Off & Charging

To ensure the best first experience, we recommend fully charging the battery first. During charging, you can check the battery level via the power indicator; when fully charged, the power indicator turns green.

Connect RIG-Puppy

After power-up, follow the steps below to connect your RIG-Puppy:

Download the Luwubot app: for iPhone, search for "Luwubot" in the App Store and install it; for Android, search for "Luwubot" in Google Play and install it.
Open the app and follow the in-app instructions to complete network pairing.

Select & Configure WiFi

Select a 2.4G network from the WiFi list, manually enter the password and tap Start Pairing.

Cyber Soul Development

Connect your Lulu and witness its evolution from machine to "cyber life".

Agent Setup

Through the "Xiaolu Classmate" mini program, customize Lulu's personality, dialogue style and voice traits, and switch among multiple built-in agents with one tap.

Mood & Growth

During daily interactions, view Lulu's "Five-Dimension Personality" panel in the mini program in real time and witness its personality evolve.

Mood Diary

Based on interaction frequency and content, the system auto-generates an exclusive mood diary, recording this cyber life's daily thoughts.

How to Calibrate

After firmware update, the device enters calibration mode automatically on power-up. If motion angle drift occurs, triple-tap the top button to enter calibration manually. On entering calibration, servos auto-center and enter torque-release state (legs swing freely). Then place the device on a flat desktop, adjust to the standard posture, and triple-tap the top button again to complete calibration.

FAQ

Before inspecting or reconnecting ribbon cables or servo cables, turn off the robot and disconnect the power supply. Do not connect or disconnect cables while power is on. Hardware revisions may differ; follow the connector labels on your device and the guide for your model.

The kit screen is blank and the robot seems not to start. What should I do?

If the power indicator is on but firmware has never been installed, flash the firmware for RIG-Puppy first.

Electronic kits ship without firmware; fully assembled robots have firmware preinstalled. Follow the flashing instructions at the beginning of this manual. If firmware is already installed, a blank screen alone does not mean firmware is missing.

If the power indicator is also off, check the battery charge, connections, and power switch first. If the screen remains blank after flashing, disconnect the power and check whether the display ribbon cable is reversed or loose. On RIG-Puppy, the exposed gold contacts should face up; insert the cable straight and fully into the connector.

Open the official firmware flashing platform

The servos do not move after startup and seem to have no power. What should I check?

Turn off the robot and disconnect the power first. Check whether any servo cable is reversed or loose.

Align the raised tab on the cable connector with the matching opening on the servo socket. Make sure each connection is correctly oriented and firmly seated, then check the battery and fully charge it before testing.

The EM3 servos are connected in a daisy chain. If they twitch or do not respond, disconnect the power and check each cable between the servos. If the robot is in calibration mode, complete the steps in "How to Calibrate" before testing motion.

Firmware flashing fails, or my computer cannot find the serial port. What should I do?

Make sure the robot is powered on and use a USB-C cable that supports data transfer.

A charging-only cable cannot be used for flashing. Open the flashing platform in Chrome or Edge, select the firmware for RIG-Puppy, and allow the browser to access the selected serial port.

If the device is still not detected, check whether the serial port permission dialog was blocked. If your hardware uses a CH340 serial chip, check its driver; for other interfaces, use the driver required by your actual hardware.
